Paul Clausen was a spoon maker, specializing in forged cutlery. He lived and worked from Barndesteeg. The spoon is hallmarked with the first standard mark, Amsterdam city mark, year letter D for 1763, and the maker's mark PC. The spoon features an Amsterdam double acanthus leaf pattern.
